SHELAGH HOWARD studied Psychology, Fine Art and Photography at the University of Toronto and Ryerson Universtiy. Her work explores the human figure in all of its guises, including portraits, nudes, reflections, mannequins and shadows. Issues of body image, female beauty, and isolation are themes she continues to explore. In addition to her personal work, Shelagh is a respected portrait photographer whose work has been published in Opera Canada, The Globe and Mail, Canadian House and Home, and Style at Home, as well as numerous international publications. Shelagh uses both analogue and digital cameras in her work, choosing whatever approach best suits each subject, environment, and mood.
